This new Clubhouse for Isles Yacht Club replaced the original club building which was destroyed by Hurricane Charley in 2004. The site allowed the opportunity for the Club to totally rethink the utilization of the site. The design accommodates all activities desired by the Club, including boating, tennis and swimming. The clubhouse program includes a new state of the art kitchen, Bar Grill, 250 capacity dining room, board room, and offices.The building was designed in a Florida Vernacular style with detailing to reflect historic Punta Gorda architecture. The project received a "Good Planning Award" from the City of Punta Gorda. Jack Meredith served as Project Architect during his tenure at the Architecture Design and Planning Group.
